Ecofalante Film Festival, sponsored by Valgroup through the Culture Incentive Law, is an outstanding free event in S\u00e3o Paulo and one of the most important in South America dedicated to socio-environmental issues.<\/p>\n
In tune with its social purposes, Valgroup decided to support this initiative as part of its commitment to quality education for children and young people, as well as promoting debate and reflection on relevant current issues.<\/p>\n
In 2023, the festival celebrates its 12th edition, making it the second consecutive year of sponsorship by Valgroup, which also supported the 11th edition and itinerant events. The 2023 edition featured 106 films from 35 countries, screened in 30 movie theaters and cultural venues in S\u00e3o Paulo, for a total of 323 sessions. There were also 8 debates, 13 interviews and 2 parallel activities, a masterclass, and a seminar.<\/p>\n
Valgroup facilitated the project’s itinerancies in the cities of Lorena (SP) and Cama\u00e7ari (BA). In 2022, the first edition was held in Lorena, reaching a total audience of 7,789 people, including students from public schools, universities, and technical schools. 23 films were screened, followed by 72 debate sessions. A significant highlight was the support of the Department of Education, which provided children’s transportation to the screenings, allowing more than 3,000 public school students to experience a movie theater for the first time, leaving a positive impact on their lives.<\/p>\n
In 2023, sponsored by Valgroup, the Festival was extended to the cities of Cama\u00e7ari and Dias D’Avila, in Bahia state. In Cama\u00e7ari, the festival registered a total audience of 5,616 people, including 13 institutions, 3 of which are higher education institutions and 10 from other categories. Ten films were screened, and the partnership with the government made it possible for 4,838 public school students to attend, 2,074 from Cama\u00e7ari and 2,764 from Dias D’Avila. These statistics reflect the positive impact of Ecofalante Film Festival on education and culture in these regions.<\/p>\n
The festival will have its second edition in Lorena, from September 18 to 29, under the “Presents” banner. Valgroup was also present as “Support” in other cities in the Para\u00edba Valley, such as Guaratinguet\u00e1 and Jacare\u00ed.<\/p>\n
