Valgroup Run: Running and Solidarity

The Valgroup Run is more than just a simple street race; it is an event that promotes health and well-being, not only for its employees but for society as a whole. More than a sports competition, the race’s purpose is to strengthen Valgroup’s social commitment, contributing to the well-being of the community at large. It’s proof that sports and solidarity walk side by side.

In 2022, Valgroup Run held its fourth edition of the race on December 11th at the South Parking of Eco Valle Shopping, located in Lorena, São Paulo. The chosen route was Estrada Santa Lucrécia, offering challenges for athletes in various categories: 10 km, 5 km, and also a 5 km walk. The event saw the participation of 545 registered athletes and 31 people serving as staff.

The awards ceremony was a standout feature, with the distribution of 72 trophies for the running categories. Additionally, the trophies were divided by female, male, and age group categories: up to 29 years, 30 to 39 years, 40 to 49 years, 50+, and employees. Each race kit included essential items such as a backpack, t-shirt, chip, a bib number, cereal bar and fruit, ensuring the participants’ comfort.

In the past year, the race benefited families assisted by the Nossa Senhora Aparecida and Santo Expedito Parish, located in the Novo Horizonte neighborhood, which also serves the Santa Lucrécia Chapel. The race collected over 300 kilograms of non-perishable food items, showing a commitment to the local community.

In 2023, Valgroup Run is scheduled for November 26th, still at the same location and maintaining the categories of 10 km, 5 km, and a 5 km walk. The tradition of promoting health, well-being, and solidarity continues steadfast. Soon, more information about this year’s race, including the registration date, will be announced.
