Building the Future: Valgroup's Social Commitment Journey to 2023
15/12/2023Valgroup is committed to society and human development and has been actively engaged in several significant projects throughout 2023. Valgroup is aligned with the fundamental purpose of making a positive contribution to the communities in which it operates, especially in the cultural, sports and education fields.
One of the highlights of 2023 was the innovative ” Recycle + Project” at the Arnolfo Azevedo School, in Lorena (SP), a partnership aimed at promoting environmental education among children, teenagers and young people. This initiative aims to raise awareness among future generations about the importance of recycling and sustainable practices, thus promoting a proactive approach to preserving the environment.
As part of its Cultural Incentive, Valgroup supported the “Doctors of Joy” in Lorena’s retirement homes, benefiting more than 90 elderly people. This action exemplifies our commitment to creating a positive impact on quality of life for the elderly, showing social and humanitarian concern.
The “Semear Project”, which has been active since 2005, resulted (in 2023 alone) in the hiring of 13 young project participants to join the company’s units. This underscores the importance of investing in young people, consolidating Valgroup’s active presence in training and developing new talents.
In addition, the “Espaço Social D Emília” has benefited families of Parque das Rodovias neighborhood, in Lorena (São Paulo state) since 2009. The introduction of new workshops, such as Environment and Table Tennis, and the creation of a new visual identity suggest constant evolution and adaptation to the communities needs.
Valgroup supported the Volleyball School for the Deaf in Pernambuco as well, promoting sport and social inclusion for 80 deaf people, with a commitment to promoting inclusive opportunities through sport.
Valgroup Volunteer Day”, an internal movement, reflects the participatory culture of our company. The event, which brought together volunteers in a remote meeting across Brazil to honor National Volunteer Day, highlights the active role of Valgroup employees in building a more supportive society.
The “Hora da Leitura Manaus”(Manaus reading time) initiative, as part of our commitment to education, delivered 10 educational reading structures to social institutions and schools in Manaus.
Finally, “Incentivo ao Projeto Ecofalante Camaçari e Lorena” (Encouraging the Ecofalante Project in Camaçari and Lorena) reveals our ongoing efforts to foster culture in schools and universities, addressing environmental issues and promoting a critical awareness of sustainable issues.
Through these projects, we have proudly achieved our goal of contributing to the well-being of local communities, but as well as reinforcing our commitment to culture, sport and education, as essential pillars for sustainable development towards a more inclusive future.
