20L PET Drum

A sustainable Valgroup innovation

In 2018, Valgroup launched the 20 liter drum made of PET, at the expense of HDPE (high density polyethylene), the traditional raw material in the production of drums.

Besides being 100% recyclable, this innovation has a design that eases palletization and handling, and ensures a significant weight reduction. At 453g, the 20L PET container can be up to 56% lighter in relation to containers of the same volume composed of HDPE.

The reduction in weight also makes the logistics chain more economic, reduces the volume of possible discarded materials and contributes to a carbon footprint reduction for the entire production chain.
